Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Hi everyone...

I just got off the phone with Mark and Justin is still in a lot of pain. They had to go to Iowa City to get more medication that Justin is on. They have him some thing i can remember the name and it is 10 times stronger than Morphine. Justin has a lot of pain on his left side from the kidney problems. They go back to the doctors on Wednesday for the kidneys and they hope to get a surgery date set then. Mark said Justin is listening to all the calls we make and he really likes them. He will try to start call backs very soon. He gets on the internet from time to time but there is a problem still with his vision caused by another tumor on the brain causing pressure and effecting Justin right eye.
They will worry about the eye after the kidney is handled.

I do not know if everyone out there that reads these threads know Justin is only 25 years old. When we say get well kid we mean it.... I just wanted people who do not know Justin, that this kid is one amazing person.
He will go out of his way to help people and racers alike.

I will let you know what i find out on Wednesday after i talk to Mark or Justin.

Thanks Lee

JUSTIN ROSENBOHM MEDICAL FUND RAISER
has begun details are a being worked out but a date time and place has been set. Date July 13 just so happens to be marks b-day place is pebble creek golf range, they are offering a huge area for us to have live music, raffles, 50/50 and food. A good friend of Justins, Jeramy is a head chef and has offered to get all the food donated and grill out for this event. Details are still in the making and alot of work needs to be done we need raffle prizes. I'd like some of those decals to sell right there. Details on where to send raffle prizes will be in near future and also flyers available to print off computer and hang up. Just getting started but things will come together

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Thought I'd give you all a medical update. Unfortunately the surgery on Justin's kidneys has been postponed due to swelling behind his eye. The new surgery date is now May 14. We'll know more when he sees the eye doctor again on April 22, but we're hoping that date will stay the same. The sooner this gets underway, the sooner he can get on the road to recovery.

Hi,

Was just informed that July 13th, the tentative date set for the benefit is the same weekend as the Div. 3 race in Stanton, Mi. I'll contact Annette and ask her to change the date. It's far enough in advance that I'm sure she can change it. Stay tuned.

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Hi,

It looks like July 13th is the date we're pretty much going to have to keep for the local benefit. Events are already scheduled for the other week-ends in July.

Hey Lee, Annette and I were talking, and we think you should make sure that you break out in the first races so that you'll be free for the 13th. Hahaha, just kidding. Take care all.

Pam

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Pam,

If the 13th is set,
I will miss everyone in Stanton and hope all stay safe,
cause i will be in Iowa for that weekend. I will not miss the day for Justin.

To all of u people out there I feel a deep importance that you are able to come to this event. I need to know what dates in august are not an issue and by all means we can rearrange things its not possible for july and august the 1 - 3 but 2nd or 3rd weekend should be OK also preference on saturday or sunday given the option please let me know asap thanx Annette

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

I think it's awesome that so many of Justin's racing buddies plan to attend the benefit. We're scrapping the 13th and will plan it when everybody can come, whether it's a Saturday or Sunday, August or even September. Actually the later it is, the better the chance that Justin will be recovered enough from surgeries to attend. Annette will keep you posted when a final date and place has been set.

I am Justin's aunt Chris and I just want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have in one way or another thought of or helped Justin make it through this bump in the road of life. I have gotten on the Class Racer website many times and each time I read it I cry. Justin means the world to all of his family and there is no way we could ever repay each and every one of you for what you have done for us! We have to be strong for him right now. It is wonderful that so many people have pulled together to get a couple of benefits going for him. I know if someone else was in this situation Justin would do the same for them. And Lee, god I don't even know where to begin with you, You are the best! Grandma, Aunt Bev and I can't thank you enough! If there is anything I can do for anybody to help out please let me know

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Hi,

As far as a new date for Justin's benefit goes, we're now shooting for October 18. seems like a long way off but it will be here before we know it. Hopefully Justin will have had both surgeries by then will be well on the road to recovery and can join us. We're thinking of a place in Le Claire called the Roadhouse--we can have it inside plus have a tent outside. Mark checked on the internet and October 18 won't interfere with any of the races. Will give more details when they become available. We're planning to have food, raffles, Karaoke, and more.

Great idea Lee--taking the Decals with you to the Div. 3 races. That's awesome.

Pam

Ahh Lee you give me too much credit buddy. haha. Just wanted to thank everyone again for your support. Not sure I'd be doing this well at this point if it wasn't for my racing family. I do plan on getting out to my local track in my street car before I go in for kidney surgeries, as it may be my only chance this year to do some stripe driving. haha. Thanks again everyone. Hope to see everybody ASAP, until then I'll be doing my best to watch you all race via the internet. . .

Re: The Justin Rosenbohm Medical Fund

Hi Everyone!!

I was thinking for Justin's benefits of having some silicone rubber bracelets made. Like the yellow ones that Lance Armstrong had made a couple of years ago. What does everyone think? Another way to raise money for Justin. If it's a go I will have them made and sell them at the benefits and wherever else need be. Im searching for ideas as to what to have them say. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thought maybe RACE FOR JUSTIN or BOMB RACING. I dont know. Please give feedback.

Thank You!
Justin's Aunt Chris
