Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
Nope plenty to do for sure, Finishing my Nitrous Street car motor for Monte. I did get 2 intakes for 307 motor this past week. one arrived today the other is in transit. 350 Olds from 71 Cutlas looks good so far. Found 1 7A head. Need to pick up 200 trans case for BOP from racer in town. Having a used 6.14 being shipped from Flagstaff. Might be to much but it was cheap and nice condition
Questions 1) All air cond. items can be removed and plate to fill hole in firewall ok? 2) Any size spare tire allowed? 3) Does rear end have to be exact same length from backing plate to backing plate? 4) Can roof rack be removed? (hate the look) 5) Shock absorbers for bumpers be replaced or something made up to hold bumper on? 6) Under dash items removed but whats visible on dash must stay? New total today 1625.00 |

2) As long as it fits the car. 3) Pretty much. 4) As long as the car was available W/O a roof rack. 5) No. 6) Correct. |
Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
Part of that luggage rack deal was the air deflector that kept exhaust from going in an open tail window...Therefore, I think they all had them.
I see some of Provoast's wagons didn't have the rack. I wouldn't worry too much about taking it off..You have my permission ;-) Going with a 200 trans now? |
Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies

Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
Its going slow as the heat is no fun to work in. I sold my building and now will be semi retired and will have to move everything out soon. Have another race car to paint and then start the Olds. I have been getting some good tips from others on this site and willing to learn and except more. Thanks to everyone that has expressed an interest. Jeff

Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
Jeff, I definitely feel your pain with working in the heat. I was working in the driveway for about five hours last Saturday. Had to take several breaks in the air conditioning or I wasn't gonna make it.

Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
Anytime you get parts at half price, that's cool.
|
Re: My 88 Olds wagone U/SA 10 Pennies
C'mon Jeff,,, you started this thread 9 months ago,, throw us old dogs a bone,, and post a couple pictures,, even if its a pile of your parts or a shell, to give us an idea where you're headed. We're all intrigued out here. Thanks for any info.

Yeah. Show us The Flying Boxcar.
Love those wagons.Had two of them. Typical GM. When they get something good, they phase it out (as in G bodies, etc.) |
