What are the current SS/AH hemi darts using for front torsion bars? Looking at cloning a 67-69 Dart body and ride height of one of these current Super Stockers like Gary Wolkwitz or Jim Daniels. It will be a street/strip car with a 340 that is being given to me.

What they're using and what you need with the lightweight motor you're going to run . with a hemi/big block if you use the mopar performance race t bars your car will settle down low into the weeds eventually no matter how tight you twist them-they're that light. Stock the 68SS cars used the heavy 383 bars so you could set the height where you want it and it stays there. I wouldn't worry too much about them, build your car and see how the bars you already have work and go from there.

I've never seen a pic when Gil Clark owned the car. Plenty of pics as the Mancini car and the Irish Rover.

Sure is real one,Chick Brignolo still owns but now painted black,he bought from Mr. Norm's brand new and still has all the paperwork!!

I have several photo's of Chick Brignolo's Dart from 1968/1969.
When it was lettered 'Play Thing".
Pretty car.
Green with those nice American Racing Wheels.

Purchased a new 1968 Hemi Barracuda SS/BA in May 1968 (2nd production run)

Wonder what happened to it.
I wonder if it was around long enough to compete at the
Stardust National Open in Las Vegas in February 1969.

Mike,

Judy Lilly was at the 1969 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona.
Her car was painted in a Sox & Martin scheme, and lettered with
Denver Plymouth Dealers on the door.
ran SS/BA.
It was re-painted later in the year, with Judy Lilly on the door and
Denver Plymouth Dealers high on the rear quarter panels.

In 1969 she posted at best of 10.52 @ 132.80.

As per the information, she got the car in August 68', spent 5 months
putting it together at a cost of $8000.

She was a Hot Rod Magazine feature article for April 1970.

$8000 ! Gezzzzz.....thats hardly enough to cover a Pro Trans and torque converter today. How times have changed.
