Re: Original hemi dart information
The purple car on page 58 is the Ky Colonel car driven by David Heath. It was a car bought and repainted and lettered jerrys automotive out of Owensboro ky, owned by a local doctor, William Pearson.I beleive was putchased fromHarrold Dutton, calledThe drag Hag .Soon after aquiring the car David was diagosed with cancer and passed away. I lost contact withe car after that..Also in the area at the time was a black 68 cuda called Burks Law and another hemi barracuda driven by a lady Carol Zahcory .

Re: Original hemi dart information
Joe's car was orange w/gold lettering. Hampden Dodge was located off State St in springfield before it moved to the Pine Point area of Springfield across from Deb's Auto. I have a pictire of the Hemi Dart from one of the Big E car shows.

Re: Original hemi dart information
Joe's car was never behind the shop w/no engine/trn. Joe listed it in a national magazine and it sold before the mag hit the east coast!

I don't know where you get these pix from, but keep them coming. Outstanding!!! Craig Welcome to this ever growing post, any & all photos are a welcome addition Dave2 spd. Welcome also, any & all info is beneficial I have some old National Hemi Owners newsletters from the 70's- 80's that I remember a bunch of pictures and a story of someone locating the Speedwin car. I'll have to dig it up & scan it. Liteweight Daryl |
