Any reason to run restrictors , with Smith Machine lifters?

Are the oil feed holes on the side of the lifter and not in the oil band if so they are all ready restricted no need to use restrictors.

I dont know where the oil feed hole is, yet, as the lifters are being made...itll be 3 weeks, or so, before they get here... Thanks!

Brent, It's not so much the oil hole location as the oil groove relief in the lifter. On a Pontiac block the relief is very close to the. bottom of the lifter bore, allowing oil to escape. I believe some bearing problems I had were related to this condition. So, I would use the restrictors I think he machines the lifters to work in Chev & Pontiac both. I have the Schubecks in both cars, 180# @ the seat, 6200 through traps, no problem yet! Good luck! Bob Michael.
