Re: Original hemi dart information
I found this old post thru a random google search about my grandfather. My Grandfather, Frank Madden, owned Mister Ed. I have a picture of him racing it, but it is too large to upload. I will try to size it down some more. My grandfather died in 2010 after battling Parkinson’s disease. In his final stages with dimentia, he still talked about building race cars all the time. I will ask my mom for more info about this particular car if you’d like.

Re: Original hemi dart information
I knew your grandfather well. I do know where one of his 68 Hemi Darts is located now. I have some photos from him racing at Riverside dragstrip in Proctorville, Ohio. Give me a call 606 923 9220

Re: Original hemi dart information
Question for the community. I have not read through the entire 500+ page thread.
So where exactly was the BUILDING that the 1968 HURST HEMI DART and BARRACUDA cars were actually BUILT IN located and what was it's Street Address ? It was called 'The BUDMAN BUILDING' by the Hurst folks. It is 'almost' in Madison Heights, MI, but actually just to the east over the Oakland County and Macomb County Line in 'Center Line' township or district or 'city'. Understanding is the 1968 Hurst Hemi Dart and Barracuda cars were NOT built at the Hurst Performance Research Building located at 1191 East Eleven Mile Road, Madison Heights, MI which still stands today in 2019, and it is funny, because on Google Maps Street view, the 'guy' actually drove all around that building which normally isn't done, but I have a stinkin' suspicion just why 'he' did drive all around that particular building - LOL |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Got it on very solid ground that this Hemi Dart is still in Arkansas. Has not been out that anyone can remember since early / mid 80's.
