I have been meaning to dig up the pics that I have of the Run-A-Gate Dart from the Lockport show in 1987 and a show at Midlothian Dodge. Butch still owns the car and it was the first 4-speed that I can remember seeing live.

I posted some info on this car awhile back, but can't find the post.
I remember the owner of the car tell me he did some match races against Dick Landy back in the day.

The first pic above is from the same show i was at in Lockport, Illinois.
The second pic is later at a different location?[/QUOTE]

I remember that show too. I lost out to Bob, Butch, and Al with my 69 Dart GTS 383 4-speed car that I still have today. Those were some great shows!

It would be GREAT if you can post up some new / old photos. And if you can get any updated pictures ( since you know where it is hiding) would be even cooler.
Everyone here is looking for LO 23 Hemi Dart history. Daryl's search about his Dart has turned into a worldwide automotive historical topic.
Thanks for any info you can contribute!

Pretty cool😎

1,355.000+ views. Seems like there's still lots of interest in these old cars if not more than ever. Wonder if there's an easy way to see how many different posters actually have posted on this thread. That's got to be a record for views on a single thread.

I remember when it was hitting the 100,000 pinnacle. That seemed like a huge number at that time.

I wish Photobucket would give back all the pictures they are holding hostage.

Re: Original hemi dart information

Photobucket has hit so many forums, and so much has been lost. Pics that were posted by folks no longer with us, etc. Not sure how this works but posting on other forums (eg. HAMB) can be done without the hassle of photo hosting outfits like this. It's why I haven't posted anything here. Are there any administrators for this forum listening as Liteweight's thread has obviously brought a lot of traffic for this forum's advertisers. Pics that are easy to contribute and stay there will keep on serving the advertisers and those who contribute for years to come.

I agree that the Photobucket situation is frustrating, to say the least. All of the dead links/photos... such a shame.

I did start using Flickr, which is free, and pretty easy to use.

$5,495.00 in 1968 in 2018 dollars equals $39,593.87 --not really that expensive of a car in today's world.
