COPO TRansmission Changes?

Since the initial announcement of the copo, all builds we're going to be 2 speed Powerglides... however we just noticed that they are now legal with 3 speed autos and 5 speed manuals (not sure when this happened??).... But can you answer these please...

1. Are all transmissions installed during the build process or post delivery by the actual owner?

2. Which 5 speed manual manufacturer is the acceptable unit?

3. And is it clutch-less?

( check chevrolet 2012 here - http://www.nhraracer.com/content/gen...635&zoneid=132 )

Thanks!

They are all built with powerglides. You can switch to a 3 speed auto or stick if you want per nhra classification guide. As far as a stick you should be able to run any 4 or 5 speed you want as long as it is clutch assisted. Clutchless transmissions are not allowed as far as I know.

Rock was having a little trouble getting the pictures to upload. I'm sure he will post about the shots he took.

The first shot was me getting ready to drive it to the trailer.....

Nice shop......the white car was delivered just ahead of us.....and they were filming a TV show for Horsepower TV I think...

All the GM dignitaries were there....

This car is the only charcoal grey COPO....pretty neat....

The paperwork with the serial number 013 is a PB Candies standard....

Had a fun time....want to thank Mr Paul...PB and Brett for letting us stand in for them..

Got some extra cool stuff for that unit too. I had to step it up knowing it's DNA. It sure does make a good story to tell in a year or two don't you think.
