Even tho it does physically look like a Zero the second digit on a Mopar from that era is always a letter designation. I agree with you it does look like a zero but it is not. First time Ive taken notice of that. The body numbers or shipping order numbers that are stamped both on the body and the fender tag are zeros, and look xactly like the "O" (oh) on the Vin plate on the dash

Heres a web page you can check out

LO23 is 100% for sure EL-OH23

Thank you Daryl, and everybody else who chimed in!

Daryl,
Check your PM's
Looks like that guy has a hot rod shop still. I'm hoping he has a good memory.

See you at the races,

Need a forensic paint line expert. These Darts have similar paint lines. The only Jim Mattox I knew was a Texas Congressman who died in 08 at 65 I think. Could it be? Where is Mattox car? Phish

Re: Original hemi dart information

The post on Facebook said that Jim Mattox's son had the car and that the Hemi was sitting on a engine stand.

That was 2005. One cold one later Ronnie Sox wheeled up to bench race and consequently sign a couple of LO23s.
