Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! I haven't been racing for 3 years now and your posts are good for the soul. I noticed you drove up highway 93 from Phoenix Az. Hope you enjoyed Wikieup AZ...my old stompin grounds.

I stopped for lunch in Wikieup a couple years ago and ran into someone also from Winnipeg. I wonder what the odds are on that.

Here are a few pictures from our travels back toward Kentucky. We left on Sunday morning and drove about 570 miles to just outside Albuqueque, NM last night. We stayed at the Route 66 Casino. For those of you heading back after Pomona, they have lots of parking and easy in and out. There is also a truck stop there with diesel as cheap as we have seen anywhere.

The black and white cows we remembered from our last trip!

We have stopped for the night at a Walmart in Weatherford, OK. We have dropped in elevation 4000' since we left this morning! The weather has been great so far. They were calling for snow in parts of New Mexico tomorrow, so I am glad we missed it. It looks like we might run into some rain tomorrow in OK and ARK.

Well we are still "moving on down the road". This first picture is from OK for Mike and Paula in case they are missing the rain and the leaves changing colors.

We stopped today for lunch at a rest area in Van Buren, Arkansas. Larry then remembered that is where Mopar guy Mr. Jim Hale lives. So he called him up and Jim invited us over to his place where we spent a couple of hours with him and Mrs. Mary. Really great people! Here are some pictures of Mrs. Mary's cabin that they built out of logs on their property. It is really cool and decorated with loads of antiques!
