Many have spoken of Woodro as an engine builder, a racer and a friend. He also worked for a time on Div. ll tech team. I asked him once if he did that to figure out what he might be able to get away with. He just grinned. RIP Woodro.

The first time I actually met Woodro he was working tech at the Open in Bradenton, Florida. I was completely BAFFLED and told my buddy’s in D3 that in Division 2 they allow the racers to also work in tech......

Do you remember what year that was. Terry Earwood and I were working on a project today and were trying to remember when Woodro did Tech. I left Div ll Tech in 75 and moved to Colorado and don't think I was around when he did that. We couldn't narrow it down.

Re: RIP Woodro Josey

My first memory of Woodrow was not a good one. It was my first bracket race in the late 80s. I had him first round, he was there testing the weekend before the Southern Nationals. He put a .005 light on me and ran the number. We talked a while after that and I realized how smart and talented the guy was, at the time I was just a teen and he talked to me, not down to me. Great racer and friend.
RIP you will be missed.

Best thoughts and well wishes to all of Woodro's friends and family. Sorry for your loss.
I had a brother pass in 2006 which is hard, but I found that they are always with you, when you look back and remember the fun you had together.

I came across a video this morning of Woodro from 1987
If any of you have classic race car movies to transfer to DVD, I can offer advice.
These tapes last longer than the 10 year estimates that were given them when new.
But... you never know when a fire, flood, natural disaster will take them out. A DVD or youtube transfer is worth considering. At least put them in a climate controlled room, out of sunlight, maybe in a tote that is not sealed tight, not too hot / cold, not damp, etc.

this is worth sharing
