Thanks JRyan, and Jeff, I sometimes wish I lived up there in the northwest, and another perk to living there would be to recant how much I enjoyed being around Ed Wise's wagon, by watching yours in action. Good luck this season with it, I'll be rooting for you from here in the desert! :)

Mine is a different Wagon than Ed's, but it seems that the years they were running was the around the same time.

As for living up here, you end up sitting in the rain as much as racing. :)

Yeah I know it's different, but it looks similar and that's what I like about it. As for the rain, that and a growing presence here in the southwest by the IHRA, I have two big reasons that I'm glad I'm still here...rain is nice occasionally, but I prefer sunshine and warmer weather. However, now that Acton, Mt., has gone IHRA's way too, the northwest is getting interesting???

Jeff, when I see your wagon, it brings back great memories of the wagon that was one of the greatest in D5...the blue and white '65 Chevelle wagon of "Ed Wise". He won several divisionals, and I think some national events with it. I believe he ran both the 283, and the 327 in that great wagon (the 283 for sure). I recall him running SS/MA with that wagon, and being a worthy foe for anyone who lined up against him...especially at Bandimere Speedway! If anyone has a photo of that wagon I'd like to see it here too?

Oh, and lest I also forget about another wagon that has made it's presence felt here in D7 that used to be a formidable foe for D5 racers back in the late '90's to mid-'00's. The former Bobby Stevens driven '65 Chevy Nova Wagon, currently being campaigned by all-stars winner Gregg Luneack!

One more former formidable wagon of the 70's and '80's for you AMC fanatics, was the "Kelvinator" campaigned by one Rick Rusk also in D5. I forget if it was a Concord wagon, or another model type, but it was a great car for him, and was cool to watch, because he was a winner with it too!!!

Between those great wagons and Jody Lang's wagon, I wish (sometimes) I would've gotten one of them to be a racer. It sure would've been easier to work on, and especially w/o the fuel injection to deal with....

Any chance the one on the left is Ed Wises wagon? I took this pic sometime in the mid to late 70's at the div 5 track in Western Colorado. I can't quite read it, but appears to have ss/?? on it..the white one is clearly an SS/LA car. There was also a Chevelle 2dr wagon that showed up from time to time in that era.
