Yes, Troy, we are here! We arrived late yesterday, got parked and went over to Jimmy's for crawfish! We are parked up against the fence next to Jimmy. The person that has that spot wasn't going to be here this weekend, so Jimmy cleared it for us to use. When we got here we parked over one too far so this morning we have moved over to the correct spot.


They were mowing when we arrived and everything looks great! After breakfast I will go out on the golfcart and look a little closer. There are quite a few rigs already parked and more in line waiting to get parked.


Everyone be sure and bring your mosquito dope! All was great until it got dark and then they attacked! Last year they went around in a truck and sprayed. Hopefully they will do that again.

Go to one of the big box retailers near there and get a couple of Thermacell mosquito repellent units. They work great and keep the bugs away. Best money I have spent for camping and racing

Well it is hot and sticky here in Belle Rose. Rigs have been rolling in off and on. So far it doesn't seem like there are as many people here, but this is only Wed. Test and tune is tomorrow, so I will try to get some pics then. The track was rented on Mon and Tues and quite a few runs were made then. Looked like the Moser cars were getting ready for the Moser Shootout! We made it to Landry's twice already for good shrimp!


There is a truck stop on the way to the track called Cane Row where diesel is $2.50.


Weather is still iffy for the weekend. It is 70% chance this afternoon. 20% tomorrow. A little worse later on.

Larry and Patsy - Most of us here in the great Northeast can't thank you guys enough for all the info and pics you've sent at us in the last month or so .Hot and sticky ???? As you may not know Winter is far from over here and another storm is rolling in Friday with measurable accumulation expected along with cold temps.That said we're hoping you don't get the 70% rain predicted there and fully get the event in and on time .

All of us will be tuned into Audiocast this weekend and I for sure expect to hear about 'our' reporter going rounds again ..........And from myself and I'm positive the members and guests here - good luck ! ! !
