Pre-entry is an NHRA thing. ;-) We may still offer it, but not until after new years. $260 entry covers qualifying, Class Eliminations, Quick 32 shootouts, and a main event $5k Eliminator on Sunday (2nd Rnd Win = $200!) There's an optional $3k Combo on Saturday, $100 entry (2nd Rnd Win = $50). Might have something else up our sleeves too... :-)

Nitro Joe - thanks! I'll get your info added to the flyer when I get home.

Jeff Ross, founder of the Buckeye S/SS Series, approached me with an idea for a Junior Stock Shootout. Eligible cars will be those in K/S or K/SA on down, D/PS on down, SGT/F-G, and FWD Stockers. Standard eliminator format: handicapped, sportsman ladder, heads-up runs in effect when applicable. The Quick 32 CIC races on Friday night are certainly going to need a little cooldown time between rounds. By my estimate, Junior Stock would probably be about 25-32 cars, so they should fit in there nicely. (No double entries: i.e., can't run both Quick 32 and Jr Stock)

Just like Class and the Quick 32's, there will be no additional entry fee for Junior Stock participants. Jeff has put up $500/Win and $200/RU. We'll see if we can get some other sponsors to add to the purse. At worst, Loose Rocker Promotions will make sure that Semis get $100, and an Iron Tree trophy for the winner like all the other classes.

You can find all the Buckeye S/SS Series info right here on ClassRacer at http://classracer.com/classforum/forumdisplay.php?f=43 or at www.buckeyerace.com

Michael,
The flyer says that V8's can run in V/SA. Is that correct?

Sure looks that way! Hell, if I can run a 6 in W/S maybe I should put together a 65 Biscayne!

No -- good catch, thank you. I double checked and IHRA rules for V and W state: "Class V and W are limited to 4 and 6 cylinder entries". The bottom of the weight breaks are the same in V & W are the same as NHRA, so we will use the IHRA engine permissions and not have duplicate classes just for 1-2 cars.

V6's? What about Straight 6's?
Keep it inline!
