Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
The weather was always a crapshoot at Mason-Dixon. One year it was T-shirts and shorts the next it was thermals and winter coats - always made it interesting!
Hope you get the race in! |
Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
I was there twenty-five years in a row. I halve seen snow flurries. I have seen eighty degrees. And just about everything in between. Only two rainouts, twenty years apart. We were very fortunate over the years. I wish you all the best today

Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
Looks like the rain did not get to Mason Dixon.
Thinking they ran. Too late to get there before first round. Ok...having a quiet Sunday. Cars need some attention anyway! D |
Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
Was nice there yesterday for awhile. A little brisk, not bad. Track looked like it was in good shape. S/SS guys pretty much had the place to themselves.
After this year, it was nice to just get out and catch up some. |

I won Stock/SS Saturday running my F/PS Impala SS Got a lucky bye in Finals as the other car broke. Think it was an AMX. So Pure Stockers ruled the day |
Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
Anyone else think there may have been intermittent technical cliches in the timing or tree? We had a redlight and timeslip that made no sense.Replay on my cell phone video didn't really clarify it.

Re: Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race
Sorry I didn't get on here yesterday. We started out with sunshine and temp. about 40 degrees and by the end of the day it did get cloudy with temps in the high 40's. First time run had 34 entries starting at 11:30 am. Everybody was fast, big wheel stands, fun to watch. About 12:30 we ran the second time run. In the end Dan Fahey in his 96 Chevy Caprice E/PS got a single in the final as Aris Asdourian SS/B AMX had broken in the semis. It was Vic Guilmino and Kevin Anderson as the semi racers. Very good racing, we would have loved to have more entries, a less than great weather forecast Sunday and the ECSSA race at Atco probably affected of us I'm sure. The racers paid a $20.00 Tech card fee and $100.00 entry.....a full %100 of their entry fee went to the racers. We still love having this race every year. A good show as always. We did try to race Sunday, rain to the south and east of us backed in on us about 10 am and soaked the place and we were forced cancel. A big thanks to Troy Huntzberry for running the race. We did miss Mike Carr and his mom Wendy for all they've done over the years with this event. A big thanks to all that participated!!
