Thanks Mark for the info. I had forgotten about the Olds Cutlass from the 80's. I guess I didn't realize that there are others. More for this guy to learn.

What am I missing here?? Am I that out of the loop. I thought Stock Eliminator cars needed to have a V.I.N..

Am I correct in saying the Stock and Super Stock cars can be build from "bodies in white" that do not have VINs?

How about if someone knowledgeable in the subject starts a thread about How stock is stock??? or something like that. Any takers. I think lots of info could come out. I know I would learn a lot.

Could be a can of worms, but could be very informative.

Sorry. Maybe it is a very bad idea.

I can see super stock with all the classes available. G.T. front wheel drive conversions and such, ss/bs, and many others. I won't go into all the classes that are in the rule book.

As it was a factory built DragPak, it came with the DP hood and RT badge on the grille...hence the RT stripes now on the sides. As we are not running it as a DP, there is a factory hood on the car.

you will need doors mirrors too.

STREET EQUIPMENT
The following are not required and may be remove windshield-wiper blades, arms, and motor; heater/air conditioning and associated plumbing (controls must remain in dash; see INSTRUMENTS). Turn signals, etc. need not be operative. One working headlight and one working taillight mandatory.

mirrors are not on the list of remove equipment and maybe real glass in doors

While it does appear you have a factory hood, I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, is your factory hood an "RT" specific hood ? As I can only find 2011 "SRT" challengers with 392 engines, in non "RT" trim (with flat hoods and air inlets about 20" apart). Seems like "RT" trim was reserved for 5.7 engines only and not "SRT" 392 engines from what I can find, but maybe not ? I'd assume grilles would also be different at least the badging aspect ?
