Greg, what was being protested? Was it by chance the wrong displacement? Or perhaps the illegal intake. Since he didn't go to Parsons, who did the engine?

What's his heads up record with the bracket engine. If they did not come apart they cheated all of us. The number two racer in all star points got hosed. The number 129 qualifier last week at Indy watched while he made the show. With that combo, 340 AVS, cheating not needed.

I've never met Ryan but I know he's pretty young and apparently a third generation racer. Maybe he didn't know how to tear his car down. It's not like the car was a world beater to begin with. I'd withhold judgment until you hear the other side. Half you guys throwing stones are cheating anyway 😄

Last time I checked, if YOU refuse tear down.....you earn a year vacation. He is a young man, matter of fact I place most of this on his DADDY s shoulders....They just tore down the end of MAY....must be a SLOW learner ...huh ?????

The next time I get pulled apart NHRA may not like something I did . Maybe I'm .001 to much lift or a cc big or little. A lot of us try to walk the knife's edge, trying to get what can be gotten within the rules. Like Jason LIne said it's all part of the game and part of the rules. If your legal take there money, if not go home and dream of what might have been. A set of gaskets is just as important as a tire gage you don't want to leave the eather one at the shop. Class racers are not as pure as Ivory soap, but most are legal.

Re: Protest at Joliet?

NHRA and the competitor being protested came to an agreement at the event which was a refusal of tear down at Joliet and being disqualified for the event and losing points. They agreed that the competitor has to come to the next event with one head off for inspection.
