Re: Station Wagons
been racing it since 1980... when MJ Quinn and i started we ran hardinsburg on fridays, ohio valley saturdays and sunday harrison county indiana... if we had a few $$ left by then
it even sat for a year when MJ bought the camaro... but i bet 3000 is a pretty good guess within a few hundred either way. as far as racing now i run the bowling green, ohio valley combos and divisionals, and belle rose ... but i dont do indy anymore since the class winner rule > about 8 - 12 weekends a year that enough for me ... have you seen the price of gas cost me $700 to race at belle rose in tow gas ! captain jack |

Oh, and lest I also forget about another wagon that has made it's presence felt here in D7 that used to be a formidable foe for D5 racers back in the late '90's to mid-'00's. The former Bobby Stevens driven '65 Chevy Nova Wagon, currently being campaigned by all-stars winner Gregg Luneack! One more former formidable wagon of the 70's and '80's for you AMC fanatics, was the "Kelvinator" campaigned by one Rick Rusk also in D5. I forget if it was a Concord wagon, or another model type, but it was a great car for him, and was cool to watch, because he was a winner with it too!!! Between those great wagons and Jody Lang's wagon, I wish (sometimes) I would've gotten one of them to be a racer. It sure would've been easier to work on, and especially w/o the fuel injection to deal with.... |

Gary,
Ed, also ran that car with a '64 front-end with a 327/250 engine. That's how it got into SS/MA. I helped him change cams once and the valance on the '64 had a cut-out in it so that there would be enough room to remove the cam. The '65 front-end didn't need the cut-out as it was more pointed.
