Thanks Mickey. Couldn't agree more although I didn't want to be the first to say it here. The COPO version certainly doesn't help. The aspect ratio is simply miserable.

I may be a Mopar guy but agree with you 1000%. Truly a classic. I would love to have one if they weren't so expensive.

WHOOO 9's right out of the box.

The Chevrolet COPO Camaro development group was in Bradenton, Fla., with the prototype version of the factory-prepared race car making shakedown runs on Monday. The group kept the car’s performance under a shroud of secrecy as they made several runs with the scoreboards turned off.
Longtime class racer Mike Pustelny is the driver putting the new Chevrolet through its paces. We are told the car has already made it into the 9's despite a mild launch. A source tells CompetitionPlus.com that this COPO was built at Pustelny's MPR Race Cars shop with direction from Russ O'Blenes, Robin Wright, and Mark Kent of Chevrolet Performance.

when I take my shoes and socks off and do the math the 427 with a 4.125" bore and 4.100" stroke is 438 cubic inches. The Factorys are even taking care of the cheating for us now.

Some prefer to call it "Pushing the Envelope". 8-)
