Anyone ever hear of Pomona Speed Shop in NY?

Did he see the photo? If not, try to persuade him to look at it via this thread.

You know, what might solve this mystery is if there exists an entry list for the 1968 Super Stock & Drag Illustrated Magazine-sponsored Super Stock Nationals.

I know this is a stretch but perhaps Bob Snyder, funnycar aficionado that he is, the guy who was there that day and took the photograph, by some slim chance, knows about or remembers the name(s) associated with the unlettered silver 1968 Hemi Dart with atypical dent in its quarter panel? I say it's worth a shot.

I have just ordered a video from Beeonvideo with coverage of this meet. It's described as having a list of all 11 S/S Hemi cars from that event. Thanx to Marfen for that lead.

I'm not throwing in the towel on this deal yet. But this car is sure kicking my *** every time I think I'm getting somewhere.
Every lead is a viable lead that needs to be followed up. Unfortunately I can only spend so much time doing it, due to "life" as a general term getting in the way. I gotta think there's more pictures out there of this thing. Just gotta find them

liteweight

you'll also notice theres body damage on the passenger side door. Currently I can't access that side of my car to pull the door panel for a closer inspection from the back side,BUT, even if that damage isn't there doesn't mean the door hasn't been replaced at one time..??? even tho there is an original lightweight door on it now. IF, that damage is there then......... cemented in stone yes?

"IF" you have door and quarter repair that matches...I would say that does it.
Like you pointed out, doors are easily replaced but not likely anyone would replace a damaged quarter panel WITH a damaged quarter panel.
