Re: Original hemi dart information
This thread has been on again, off again for more times than I want to remember, usually associated with leads.Lot's of kutto's goes to the guys who have kept this thing alive in between by sharing some very cool pictures.
Kinda makes a person ponder if a certain silver Dart was involved in some of that hotn'heavy, highly frownd upon & illegal activity that took place on the streets of New York.......... Coooooolllllll !!!!!!!! liteweight ps some of those stones have been very heavy & flat in the past. Hope these new ones are alot rounder & lighter |

All of us that are on this forum are victims of self inflicted "speeditis" in some form. No "little blue pill" to fix it. And you know what? I'm just fine with that. :D |

contact scott shafiroff ,shafiroff racing. 800-295-7142 I know he is chev man, but back in the 70's he had sent me some NY cars for front end work some of them were hard core street racers. He may be able to add something good to your ever mounting info pile |

I recently found out, through members on the Doverdragstrip site, that M&M Speed and Custom, who sponsored the "MISTER ED" Hemi Dart, had moved to Florida years ago. They have contacted the owner of M&M, who has a lot of info and more pics, and are getting him in touch with me.

Re: Original hemi dart information
Congrats Dave!!!!! Great to hear your putting pieces of the puzzle together
Not so much on my end. I spoke with the originating owner of Manhatten Speed Shop today. He told me they never owned or sponsored any Hemi Dart, Just another chapter in this car I don't understand. The car in the picture I'm convinced 99.9% as being the same as the one in my shop due to that dent. I'm just not getting it. Why has the car in pictures been tied with Manhatten Speed? I'm emailing Joe these pictures to see what he has to say? liteweight http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...psbdf939f2.jpg http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5e6a00ad.jpg |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Hey, I just noticed something in the bottom photo caption! It says Manhattan Speed Parts Dart and not Manhattan Speed Shop Dart.
The mystery continues... Perhaps Ed Miller (still) remembers who the guy(s) he raced against were? Is he still around? Based on that atypical dent in the quarter panel same as on your car at one time, one can only logically conclude that the Manhattan Speed Parts Hemi Dart is your car. It has to be! M68 Quote:

Re: Original hemi dart information
Spoke with Ed Miller, he does not remember anything about this Dart.
Good eye on Speed Parts rather than Speed Shop. Anyone ever hear of Pomona Speed Shop in NY? liteweight |
