HemiDartDave
Congrats on your new purchase. Car looks great!!! A stick car AND to know it's complete background..... I'm totally jealous !!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing it in person one day.
is there any original paperwork with it?

Steve & Paul
Thankyou for your contributions. As you know this isn't an exact science, & there are a few holes missing including my own personal black hole. I'm thinking that the more accurate info that is brought out to the public, the more accurate the list will become. So, cooperation from everyone is an asset for everyone.

Thanks Daryl, I can finally live up to my name here! I don't have any more paperwork than a title and a letter from Ed Knezevich's secretary saying she sent out a title for the car. A friend just informed me that he just saw a photo of an A990 "MISTER ED" owned by Ed K. in the "Muscle Car Chronicle" book, so I ordered it for myself and will post the pic.

Max Hurley owned three LO23 cars, but was not the original owner of any of them. His first car actually came from Eddie Smith (WV Hemi's), who purchased the car from Mr. Norm's. I believe that car still has the Certi-Card bearing Eddie's name.

Bill Tanner only had an automatic car. I believe he may have briefly ran the car in Pro Stock, which probably is where they 4-speed info came from.

Ken Holwick had a '65 Coronet called "Hemi A Go Go," but no Dart that I know. Holwick was a local guy to where I grew up. I only know of one LO car in that area, and the guy who had it was the third owner around 1971-2. It was the ex-Lendrum car. The Hemi A Go Go Dart was a Chicago area car.

Larry Griffith's hometown is wrong. Livonia, Michigan? Larry was from Illinois and still lives there.

I seem to recall that Gil Clark's car was the Van Dyke Dodge car.

The Chinook Dart and Cam Noseworthy cars are the same car.
There are a few things I see off the top of my head without doing any in depth searching...

Sorry Mr. Stasko, the Chinook Chrysler Dart from Calgary Alberta and Cam Noseworthy`s Dart from the Edmonton Alberta area are 2 different cars.

Dave, I ran across a pic of the Mr. Ed 65 Dodge on the wall of a car museum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in December. I can't get it to post but PM me your e mail and I will send it to you.

Your not alone on that Steve....believe me
There are many avenues of gathering info today, alot coming from the net. Your hoping it's correct but sometimes it's just hearsay. And like you the memory bank just can't store everything

Paul C.....Do you know if Tony Chickery, who raced the "MISTER ED" Dart, is still around? It would be interesting to talk to him......

Dave,

Tony Chickery passed away around 2004 or so.

I have most of the details on how Tony purchased the car.

In late-1970, he saw an Advertisement in National Dragster.

The Hemi Dart 4-Speed {lettered ''Mister Ed' } went for $6000 {if I remember correctly}.

Tony had to pick up the car in Greenup, Kentucky ~ not in Ohio.

If I remember correctly, the Dart ran in 'SS/A' for the last month or two of 1970 {October/November} when Tony ran it Dover Drag Strip.

A beautifully painted car.........
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they went to pick up the Dart, they were told to go to Columbus Ohio.

Make a left {on Route 23}, and head South for 2-Hours.
