On an A/SA car c06 wont last as long as c07 , but an A car gets less tire life in general compaired to my E car , I do 2 to 3RD gear burn out count to 5 and drive out , 20psi . What rear shocks and settings and do you hit a wheelie bar like most A/SA cars ?

I run the C07 tire at 17 psi on a 10" rim and get at least 150 passes. I don't use the line lock at all on the burnout. 1-2 and out. Car is 3600 lbs, 1.41 - 10.20.

I experimented with Goodyears for a bit but I've generally run this same combination on Hoosier radials since 1995.

You should be using more than 15 lbs air pressure

we run 20.5 psi
never tried going up or down from there
always heard 17 to 21 without much
different to 60 ft time

I've run 16-26 and the car runs the same. I've gone lower on psi trying to get them to wear evenly, but I still wear the centers out first. I usually only check them before the first and second runs of the day because it really doesn't seem to matter.

A couple times I have waited too long to replace them and when these tires are done, they are DONE and will not hook at all.

Willy If you are getting close to 40 passes on a set of lightweights you have done well. You are running A/SA with a big block Chevy not only will it eat tires but it also likes the taste of money. Not sure why you put a set of lightweights on. Buy the regular ones and you will get 50 plus runs on them. BP

I think you're addressing the wrong guy. I've never run the lightweights specifically because I'm trying to maximize the life on my heavy, small-tire BBC bracket/Super Street car. I wouldn't run anything other than radials though.
