Don't waste your time and money on bias plys
You're dealing with a new combo that may not be the best for U/SA.
Don't leave any ET on the table.
There are plenty of used radials out there for sale from the higher class cars , that will work very well for you.

Same here on the stick application, went a little faster but blew the tires off about 1 run in 4. Can't win any races that way.

This is what I did. A used set if bias and used set of radials. Bias finally cracked to much. Radials have plenty of life in them but it looks like Az sun exploded one of the tires on car last week. Guess I should have covered them up.

That was the V/S combo in the truck. If you have the power to use them Goodyear 1909 is a good stick tire.

Well its not about the cost of the tires its about the cost of wheels Mark... I have 14 by 7 wheels currently and You can find a M/T Slick or Hoosier Slick that would fit but with a different set of wheels I would run the Goodyear D4892... Ive always pretty much been a Goodyear guy ive always ran Goodyears on my No Box bracket car but I mean wheels are very expensive but I did find some Wheel Vintiques wheels that might work.

15" x 8" on a 4, 1/2 bp shouldn't be too hard to find on C/L or swap meet.

Re: Advantage radials to Bias Plys

It s been quite a few years ago since I went from Bias to radial. When I made the switch I made two run with the radials and took them off. They were ill handling. I put bias back on and ran it that way for several more races. I was forced to put the radials back on the car one day due to getting a flat. I put the same air pressure in the radial as in the bias and the next pass was 0.13 faster than with the bias tires and handled perfectly. Both times I tested this the result was the same . Since then I run the radials all of the time and run them about 13 psi.
This is a super stock car and I run the Hoosier 13.5 x 31.5 radial
