Is it better to have the shocks tight or loose on a good sticky track.............and BTW , I would think the car would work well on a sticky track with tight shock settings...........so if its "basket balling , shaking , bouncing" whatever you call it........how's the track? Bite or biteless?
Ladder bars , mono leafs.
9.30s@143...... 377 5 speed.

A tight track to the point your shaking", you"ll wanna loosen the damping on rebound and tighten the compression as a general rule of thumb. Opposite for a loose track, in order to keep the back of the car down so to speak.

Re: Intuitive shock settings

Just went through a night of testing and had this shock experience. The track was really good and at first I thought not enough tire pressure as I would feel a vibration or tire shake .4 after releasing trans brake. Drive shaft sensor on Data logger confirmed. Started adding tire pressure from 11.5 to 13 and the problem became worse. So I went to shocks in rear and thought extension was to loose and bagging tires in ground and was bouncing tire. Started tightening extension and worse. After scratching my head and thought maybe extension was just to tight to start and by tightening more it became worse. I was able to find a picture of car leaving and zero tire separation from 1/4 panel. Sure enough. I went back to the original setting and 3 clicks softer and fixed tire bounce. Took 7 passes to find it. I was lucky track stayed good all night.
