forged should have .125 radius cast will be probaly .062

Look at the parting line. A cast crank will have a thin well defined parting line. A forged crank will have a wide parting line.

By the time they are boxed, no Eagle crank has a visible parting line. They all look good and clean. Cast is stamped C and forged is stamped 4340 or whatever alloy it's made from.

Summit has today to respond to my last email and then it's phone time.

Got an email just as I called Summit. A new 4340 crank is on the way and UPS will pick up and return the cast one. No charge for the return either.
