Re: Pinion angle

the transmission is 2 degrees up, the driveshaft is not of this world anymore, and the pinion is 2 degrees down , as measured off the tailhousing flange and pinion yoke with car sitting at ride height on a level floor.

I should note I did have the pinion angle measured wrong and have since readjusted it, the pinion was at 4 degrees down at the time of carnage

Dion make sure to check the upper control arm cross member for stress cracks, particularly at each side that attach to the main frame!

Re: Pinion angle

Yes Greg I have and all mounting points look a-ok, it would seem my failure of driveshafts would be that I am(was) using a stock piece and it started whipping in third gear. ordered a m/w chromemoly shaft with 1350 yokes which is good to 8500 rpm hopefully problem solved! thanks for all the suggestions and clarifications they have been really helpful!
