Charles, the question was what is the best track from a Sportsman perspective. The Pro's screw everything up! Belle Rose! Jim

Just for the record there is no race like the Belle Rose sportsnationls race. It is the best.

Jim you are right about the pro screwing things up. My question is if pat's race had pro's would people still feel the same way? I know pat is the best track owner in US, but when you throw the pro's in it just screws every thing up for the sportsman racers and owners.

When we go to the Norwalk div race we are treated like gold because there are no pro cars. It's just one less thing to deal with. The national event not so much. But it's still better then any national event track I have been to in my short life.

By the way Pat you are the best I Just wish you would buy Milan dragway.

Not a national event track but Beech Bend is tops on my list of favorite tracks to go too. Even over any of the big palace national event places.

It just doesn't get any better than Norwalk. Where else can you race on a first class track and have a dollar ice cream. In the morning the track delivers coffee and donuts to the racers. They also have showers for a reasonable price.

For Div 7 that's an easy answer "Vegas" the others are "Parking Lots or Vineyards " Vegas has it all

I'd say Norwalk ... IF.... we (sportsman) were parked on the paved (right) side of the track (like we are for the points meet). Left side of the track parking becomes a little muddy with inclement weather... and there are the campers (spectators) in the pits also (remember the stolen golf carts last year).

I'd have to get a vote in for Charlotte also.

I'll second Charlotte. I personally like Bristol if you get to park on the blacktop.

Norwalk and Las Vegas are two of the best tracks I've raced at. Even though it may not be the nicest place I've raced, I will agree with Jack Matyas and say that there is something special about making a pass down Parker Ave in Pomona. I'll let you know about Belle Rose in a few weeks but I'm really looking forward to it. Although not a national event track, Atco is always a great place to race.
