I don't think the 6.4 is on the books yet. Maybe SS in 2010.

Wheelie bars are allowed, just didn't get them. This car is a 2009 with the 6.1L

Very nice car and well done....I wont be jealous of the hood fittment however :) Appraently his doent fit any better than ours. ( hard to tell when its in carbon as the seam hides on the front rubber, I honestly thought I buggered it when I painted or cleaned it being my first carbon piece for paint)

Very nice job, very well done....

And that from someone that knows exactly what it takes to put one of these together....

Congrats, something to be proud of for sure.....

Every time I hear "Oh those come ready to race right ?" I start twitching and foaming at the corners of my mouth......

Thanks for the Pics !

Is he running in A/SA for Sure at Pomona ?

The reason I asked about the year and engine size is that it's entered on the NHRA class registration site for the Winternationals as a '10 Challenger in AA/SA with a 387 engine. I know Jeg is aware that if he fills out a tech card with '10 as the model year and it's not an approved combination he will be DQ'd. Just curious as to whether the 392 will be approved at the last minute before the Winter's . Steve

Im curious as a real answer too , I wondered the same, but since none of it matters as he could register it as a 2020 Lear Jet Car with a 900inch motor.... as long as when he techs he techs it through as whats proper none matters.......

The 6.4 was disallowed by the NHRA on the original DP specs for several reasons, 1 of which was it was not available in a production vehicle. ?!?! But....the "comprimise" from my understanding were the available displacments and the non ported heads etc.......(6.4 crate motors as of now have ported heads as well as other "goodies")

I would be suprised but not shocked if the NHRA let them in now, the truth is the 6.4 that WILL be available has more potential with the VVT the crates dont have.......the ramp up make power, 5.7 "Street" challys with the 5.7 vvt and a tune run as fast as the 2008 6.1 ( a bit lighter too) .....

The 6.4 "street" motor will be a formidable force for certain, street or track.

Hard to Type on the road to Atlanta and Loadout for Pomona....Damm loadout took 4 hrs on Wed, then we drove down here to Atlanta for the FI, Tommorow I plumb it here in Atlanta, and next week out to Testing.....

Car is here and theyre still working on it.......

It works well, I hate driving, Dallas is only 12 hrs, so 1 day, hopefully next week the weather is good there for testing, then another 2 days (12 hr driving days) to Pomona.....

It is perty, I am always amazed at people who have the patience and skill to paint well....it is an art.....my paint is a hack....but thats ok its acceptable to us...........I saw you posted pics of it in progress......I was pretty sure that Jeg would pic one of the best in the area to represnent this car.....

Wish I had the "budget" to have had our car painted. One of Arfons old painters was going to do it on the cheap (4k), for the whole car upside down right side out, leaf and scheme, but because of budget opted not to, the money went into other items to make it go instead of perty....but sponsors went wrap. I STILL like paint though. Its "tangible" and requires real skill to do right. I am jealous of his car.....I have to say from a detail perspective , I called Holt to have him build the car, but his timing was off, now I see why he was busy with Jeggies car :) Does anyone (or Holt willing to say) who the other car you guys are doing is for ?

Cheers

Chris
