You can't run SS/GM with a V8 engine.
In SS/FM with a 360" engine, the car would have to weigh over 4500#. Most of the cars in that class run 280 cube motors.

A 1990 Mustang with a 360" engine would probably best run SS/BM at 3060#.

Chris is right, you gotta runa lil motor to run the FM class

Yes I know the 360 would not work in the class I want to run another motor would have to be built. I dont think I can get a 360" motor fast enough to even think about B. My other option is a 4 cyl and try one of the MX classes. If Im not mistaken the front end can stay "IF" I run a MX calss. I just dont know about getting a lil 2300 to go mid 10.'s

You can run a 2.3 in SS/FS. The current record holder is powered by a 2.3 engine.

If you really want to run mx i have a ford svo v-6 dry sump motor that you can put in that mustang tomorrow and run under the index with 270 cid motor @2850 lbs.would fit you into ss/bx and you would be running 10.30@128 mph the index is 10:85 also a 5.67 gear and 6.20 with a 1;94 powerglide and a 6400stall converter you can be wheel standing tomorrow.Thats if you are serious about running mx.One thing about that mx and a 4 cylinder the good 4 cylinder block is hard to find and if you do find one you have to use one the yates heads to go on it,then you have to get a custom crank for the block to get the right cubic inches out of it.and then it's going to be screaming at over 11000 rpms to get to run.So the best set up is the V-6 ford.If you are interested shoot me a e-mail.
