Hey Tom....No Virginia for me. I race the ones within a couple hour ride and that's fine for me. Once upon a time I would go anywhere, but that time is long gone. I'm still treading water with a health issue anyway....good luck this year with either car you are racing.....Rich

Several years ago i was in a local machine shop in my area i noticed a 65 model 962 casting 4 bolt block which is rare and expensive,the bores looked rather large i asked the machine shop owner whos 396 block that was his reply was thats not a 396 its a 100 over 427 to my knowledge its still running in a bracket car to this day!!!!

Alan 20 years ago we bored them 60 all the time for stocker engines, but i think 30 as long as you dont plan on making more than 500 550 hp they are not very thick 180 or so. Good luck.
