We're leaving for Indy to spectate and enjoy the festivities, does anyone know of a good hotel motel 25miles away from the track? Patsy keep up the great work, I think Ken should double your salary.lol Good luck to everyone.

I always stay, and I am staying this year, at the Red Roof Inn North on Valparaiso Court. It is 15 miles from the track, and it is right off I-465; it takes about 18 minutes to get to the track. The place is clean and you can't beat the prices.

7:00 and a thunderstorm is approaching and the cars went from 5-7 at a time to three rows just blew out of here. Two in front of us getting ready and we are 281.

Good morning all, and I'm still not at Indy. We are about 50 miles east and should be there soon. I was hoping to be here yesterday and parked, but it was just not in the cards.

This week I'm driving the Cook Brother's 2014 Cobra Jet. Its the same car Sal Biondo has been driving this year. They changed it from a 2010 428 combo to a 2014 429 combo to run FS/B. It has been a thrash to get this car ready for Indy, and we hope we have all our ducks in a row and the car runs well.

I'm sure it will be a while before we are parked and get settle in. I hope to have some photos by the end of the day, stay tuned...

Below are two photos of the new look. The 2014 CJ has a different hood, front and rear bumpers, along with new head lights and tail lights.

We are here FINALLY!! We got here about 10:30 last night. A big storm was coming up, so they parked us on the round track. But if it rained last night, I never heard it!

We have a service man from Cummins Crosspointe, the Onan dealer here already working on our generator. Looks like it probably needs parts. More on it later.

It looks like they parked lots of rigs yesterday, maybe even after dark trying to miss the storm. We are # 431. I will try to get some pics after we get in and set up, but that may be a while.

More later.

The pit crew did a great job yesterday. They worked very late and accommodated everyone as much as possible. It is Indy you have to love the traditional pit spots. Thanks to the crew! Paula

Ken,
I'm not a Ford guy by any means, but I think this may be my favorite of all the cobra jets. It already looked good and I think the 14 looks even better!

Thanks Jimmy, the Cook's along with there whole crew worked day and night to get the new car ready for Indy.

Its hot and humid here, but as you can see by the first two photos, Redman and his crew did a great job getting everyone parked. Its a little tight for some, but that's Indy. We got here about 11:30 and the stacking area was cleared, amazing how they could move over 400 rigs in a few hours, hats off.

I was able to get a few photos between tech and trying to get settle. I will try to get more later, but some thunderstorms are coming through and its a mad dash to put everything away.

The engine photo is the new 429 Cobra Jet in the Cook car, I thought some of you might be interested it what it looks like. Also here is Dan Fletcher's new COPO all done up in Peak colors.
