Re: Original hemi dart information

Ken Adams originally raced the car as one of the New Breed Drag Team cars - Phil Cerrone then raced it . Parrilo & Cerrone then bought the car back - this is when it was crashed into in the garage - they then bought the old Bob Gaugreau Cuda - put both of them together and made 1 car. I asked which car is the Parrilo & Cerrone and they wouldn't say. I have the original paperwork from the Harris cars and the VIN's do not match so I would say that it is actually the Gaudreau car.

Moose, The Dart at Mosher's was originally Rick Kent's car from ID

Re: Original hemi dart information

So if the Parrillo & Cerrone car was rear-ended, I wonder if the Candy Cuda had a front end damage...they probably used the two cars, one with a good back end, and one with good front end...anyone know what happened to Bob's Candy Cuda, or how it got damaged...I recall seeing the car on the front cover of a magazine and the inner fenders were cut out of it.

Offset probably would not clear the suspension if turned the correct way.
Just my guess.

Re: Original hemi dart information

Frank got the car from someone in Fla. mid eighties. Bought it because it had never been tubed etc. and had all the pieces. He is looking through some boxes in storage to get more info for that connection. This car was #50 of the 1st batch 56 Darts on Feb. 18th, 1968 and is a 4 speed. SO was it always in Fla??? Wish we knew! It looks like someone ordered a stick Dart from Dependable Dodge in Vero Beach, Fla. and I see DD are still in business. Wonder if they have records pre computer era. I just may give them a ring.

Off the original list (car list from Hurst),

An Automatic car went to Joe Weis, which was
delivered to Biscayne Dodge in Miami Beach.

A 4-Speed was purchased by Alan Carroli, which was picked up at the Hurst Facility.

And, a 4-Speed car was ordered by Dependable Dodge out of Vero Beach, but no name was logged on the order.

Re: Original hemi dart information

Too quiet on this thread. Over a month and no activity.
Don't know if this one has been here or not but, it's sort of a TTT bump as well.

From the '06 Barrett-Jackson:

1968 Hemi Dart. One of the few remaining original 1968 Hemi Dodge Darts, this is number 5 of 56 in
the Chrysler Registry. Formerly owned by Lou Mancini of Mancini Racing and the Chrysler
Corporation, this original was fitted with a 426 hemi engine and automatic transmission installed
by the Hurst Corporation. It is a true, unmolested and unrestored survivor with documented history.
It is capable of being street driven as evident by its Pennsylvania inspection sticker. It has
never been raced or altered. These cars have been deemed "the ultimate muscle car" and " the only
car worth selling your house for" by some. Final selling price including buyer's fee: $324,000.
