Actually the 68 Hemi Barracuda Mule Car had two paint jobs, the first was Orange & Cream and the second was Orange & White. The car was restored using the first paint job.

Re: Original hemi dart information

Hemi Moose & Paul,
I had the same question - the blue paint is the first paint scheme - in 68. Note the dealer sponsor on the door. Typically, the ordering dealer would sponsor for that model year - sometimes longer - I know of other cars that a different dealer sponsored the car in 69.
Note that the photo in S&M shop (which has to be 1970 judging by the Superbird and Duster) the car is in the same paint as when it was found - orange. The orange car also has no dealer sponsorship - which is typical. I think most of Dave's cars were orange after this (not including his P/S effort and the 2- red 70 Barracudas).

ACTUALLY, orange and cream are the colors I remember from a very long ago magazine photo. It had evolved to orange/white in my brain over time.

Still looking for a Joe Ralph Thompson Hemi Dart pic . Anyone?????

Dart in progress appears to have factory trim studs for a vinyl top or two tone paint! Not an expert by any means but don't recall ever seeing one.

That is my car! It was originally owned by RIchard Shipley out of Baltimore, MD then raced by Joe DeSantis. It is one of the 13 Mr. Norms Hemi Darts and is finally starting to get done...
