After only 2 posts,,,,,,,,you have become the 'expert'. 1) Where am I wrong on the Jack Werst versus Ray Allen information. Most people say they never faced each other,,,, I guess the photo that I posted was wrong then,,,,, And I guess the Karl Gould 'Superbird' with Tim Richards driving, never beat Ray Allen either,,,,,,which was a 'legal bird' at the 1970 Summernationals.. 2) OK Mr. Expert,,,,,,,,1969 AHRA Winternationals,,,,,you say you see a 1970 Plymouth Superbird,,,,,,well that photo is from January 1969. Just how in the hell did a 1970 Superbird get there,,,,,,,,,they weren't built until the end of the year, in October 1969,,,,,,,,,,'FACT" Maybe it was a 'special wing' that they had 'flown' in on. 3) By The Way,,,,,,,,,,did you know you spelled inaccurate,,,,,,inaccurate,,,'FACT' GEEZ,,,,,, I try to post information, and I get slammed by a 'greeter from Las Vegas' |

I've looked real hard for a wing car in that pix, whether it was a bird or a Daytona, can't see it. Closest I could find of anything with a slope was the tail end of a 68-69 Cutlass. Can you enlighten me? Also, real interested in your involvment in that LO car in that pic. if you wouldn't mind to share. PM me if you wish to keep it off the public forum liteweight |

I'd still take it either way. I wonder what their bottom dollar was and who was the lucky new owner. |

Daryl,
I have photo's from inside the Hurst facility,,,,,,a whole pallet stacked with the Corning .080" thin-glass,,,,,,, Of course, later it was discovered to be missing,,,,,,,,, In the meantime,,,,,one of the Sox & Martin SS/B Barracuda's at Indy. This one with the '426 Hemi' lettered on the center grille, and striped roof. This car ended up with Sam Panutty, and later Jack Arnew. http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/...WFrontView.jpg |

Daryl or Mark J.
The 'Go Hummer' car in 1969. Definitely 'not' Mary Ann Foss driving. Pete Frech Jr. took over possession. Mary Ann Foss' name removed from the door panel. In 1969, Chrysler Racing cut back big time in racing sponsorship money,,,,,,,,exit Mary Ann Foss and Shirley Shahan. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...YkmpDe_fs1.jpg |
